LGBT and the YouTube World

In the past few years, many YouTubers have been coming out of their closet, telling their viewers that they like people of the same sex. I feel that these YouTubers have a great influence on why LGBTs are paid attention to recently.

I am hoping to research their influence on viewers (mainly teenagers) who have been scared to come out, and whether issues concerning LGBTs have become better through their videos. I hope to gain knowledge to what extent these YouTubers have been able to raise awareness on this matter, and whether this can also affect what people think of LGBTs in Japan.
