Topic: Research about if gay people are usually at greater risk for depression and other mental illness than the general population.
Focus: Mainly on gay people with depression problem and also they are willing to share their mental problems to the public (For example, on Facebook, Youtube, Instagram and so on). (Age 18-30)
Process: I’ve seen some videos on youtube and heard from my gay friends that gay people are usually at greater risk for depression and other mental illness than the general population. Because they are often shown stigma and discrimination.I want to help them know that they are not different from general people and don’t need to feel uncomfortable. And if they have the mental problem especially depression, they shouldn’t hesitate turning to doctors or other mental health provider.
